My group decided to do our smartboard presentation on frog dissection and frog life cycle. We have the smartboard set up so that the first part of the lesson is a frog dissection which is hands on. After the frog dissection we have a quiz. Then we have a matching activity on the frog's life cycle. My group had very few problems with getting everything set up, but I don't feel 100% comfortable that I could do everything myself.

Oh, I know that feeling! I'm not very good at group work at all, but it's a darn good thing I have Stephanie and Cassandra or I'd be totally lost. Frog dissection is a really neat idea, too, although I admit to being a bit squicked. Still, all very Circle of Life - dissecting them, then learning about how they live. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI think you caught on pretty well maggi! Our last meeting you seemed to be a lot more comfortable manipulating some of the slides.
ReplyDeleteYeah with the smart board you really do have to do some trial and error. A lot of the procedures are not very intuitive. But I thought you were able to work it just as well as I was.
ReplyDeleteHello Maggi,
ReplyDeleteSo, it sounds like Smartboard takes time to learn. There are many tabs that include different functions and as Jess says it may not be "very intuitive". All new technologies take time to understand and to use well.
After reading Solvie's article, could you tell me if you agree with her in that Smartboard is useful in organizing data, saving it, manipulating it and accessing the internet? Did you do that in your presentation? How?
